Community Arts Engagment
For twenty-five years, Leslie Donaldson has piloted creative projects to help elevate and engage the community in the arts. She led and grew two city-wide arts festivals, launched two immersive arts spaces, curated unique exhibitions, built visibility for the arts through distinctive marketing efforts, and founded business development and funding programs to increase the creative capacity of artists. One of her most meaningful experiences was establishing Michigan’s first regional cultural economic development plan to drive creative entrepreneurship and placemaking efforts. In addition, Leslie has designed scores of arts education programs and has developed curriculum around arts and community development, fund development, visual arts management, and brand ambassadorship.
